Yule's Son is a Young Adult historical fantasy novel, following Brandr, Ulfr, and Sigrid as they are thrown together against a common enemy - one they weren't prepared or trained to fight. A sickness is creeping its way through their little village. Their warriors are gone for the summer raids. Their medicine woman has left them. That's when the dreams start, and when the gods start meddling. Brandr, Ulfr, and Sigrid have a heading, but they don't have time.
 
A coming-of-age novel that follows three children with a similar dream - become heroes. They had hopes of being mighty vikings one day, far in the future, but the Fates are rarely so kind and straightforward. If they have any hope at succeeding, they might find the price of becoming heroes is too high.
